Festival ABC
Follow the WHZOA signs and the instructions of our stewards, not your navigation system. You can find all information about getting here by car, train or carpool on our Traveling page.
WHZOA is a place for everyone. Discrimination, harassment and assault have no place here. If you feel uncomfortable, are being bothered or notice someone who needs help, talk to our awareness team. You can find them at the awareness tent next to the info point and on the grounds in purple vests. Everything you tell them stays confidential, and nobody will question your experience. More on our Awareness page.
You'll exchange your ticket for a festival wristband at the entrance. It is your admission for the whole weekend, so don't take it off and don't loosen it. Lost or damaged wristbands cannot be replaced.
The campground opens the day before the festival starts. Tents, camping chairs and gazebos are welcome; please keep the fire lanes clear and secure your tent properly against wind. Open fires and charcoal grills are not allowed. Tip: save your tent location in the app with "Find My Tent".
Our medical team is on site around the clock. You'll find the first aid station next to the info point; paramedics also patrol the grounds and the campground. Drink enough water, use sunscreen and take care of each other.
Lost something or found something? The lost and found office is located at the info point. After the festival, contact us by e-mail and describe your item as precisely as possible.
Glass is not allowed on the festival grounds or the campground. Bare feet and broken glass are a bad combination. Please decant your drinks into plastic containers or cans before arriving.
Visitors under 16 are only admitted with a parent or guardian. Visitors aged 16 and 17 need a signed parental permission form and must leave the grounds by midnight. Please bring a valid photo ID; we check ages at the entrance and at the bars.
Leave the grounds the way you found them. You get trash bags at the entrance. Full bags can be dropped off at the waste stations on the campground. Please separate cans, plastic and residual waste. Cigarette butts don't belong on the ground: grab a pocket ashtray at the info point.
The police are present at and around the festival. In an emergency, call 110 (police) or 112 (fire brigade and ambulance), or contact the nearest steward. Illegal drugs, weapons and pyrotechnics are prohibited on the entire grounds.
Free drinking water is available at the water stations on the festival grounds and the campground. Bring a refillable bottle (no glass) and stay hydrated, especially on hot days.
The festival takes place in the middle of two villages, and our neighbours make it possible. Please be considerate: keep the noise down in the villages, especially at night, don't park in residential streets and use the official footpath when walking to The Church in Weihenzell. Private property, gardens and fields are off-limits.
