Awareness at WHZOA

WHZOA should be a place where everyone can celebrate, regardless of origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, body or disability. Discrimination, harassment and assault of any kind have no place here.

Where to find us

Our awareness team is there for you throughout the festival:

  • at the awareness tent next to the info point, around the clock
  • on the festival grounds and the campground, in purple vests
  • via any steward or bar staff member, who will get us for you

What happens when you talk to us

You decide what happens. We listen, believe you and won't question your experience. Everything you tell us stays confidential. We only involve medical staff, security or the police if you want us to, or if someone is in acute danger.

We can offer you a quiet place to retreat to, help you find your friends, accompany you to your tent or simply be there for you. You don't need a "good reason" to come to us: feeling uncomfortable is reason enough.

What you can do

  • Respect boundaries. No means no, and only yes means yes.
  • Look out for each other. If you notice that someone needs help, ask them if they're okay or get our team.
  • Don't film or photograph people in vulnerable situations.
  • Speak up when you witness discrimination, if you feel safe doing so.
